I remember seeing the spuds McKenzie submarine commercial during the Super Bowl. It had to be the 1988 Super Bowl correct? January 31, 1988? I saw one video that said 1987 but that can't be right.

Beer/Wine are still accepted and encouraged in moderation in the Catholic and Orthodox churches. It is mostly modern Western Protestant denominations that look down upon it entirely.

I can honestly say, that over the last 3 years of living in Oberfalz, I didn't know that Zoigl was a thing until toward the latter half of my 3rd year here, I was drinking a Winkler Amberger style Zoigl and I wondered if it was a more house-hold brewed Zoigl. My thoughts were against this since I bought it from a 6-Pack taster set from a Reve. haha I'm here a little longer..I shall hunt for Zoigls moving forward, specifically the richtige homebrewed Zoigls.
